UTV Club Video — Campus Storytelling & Video Production

Project type: Video production / campus org collaboration
Role: Assistant, actor
Tools: DaVinci Resolve, Red dragon

Overview

I partnered with the Aaron Rodriguez and the UTV club at Northern Arizona University to produce a video for an NAU film festival. We needed to incorporate our film making techniques that we studied that semester.

The creative approach

This film was written by Aaron Rodriguez at the beginning of the year and after I helped edit the screen play I was cast in the lead roll. We filmed this over two days at night with gear rented from the NAU film department. On set I helped with lighting and filming while also acting.

What I learned

This project sharpened my ability to collaborate with a others on a filming project, work within constraints, and work with nicer more expensive gear.
